My Life Journey as a Dog Breeder

I started in Dog Breeding in  the year, 2004, It was almost the same year that i was breeding gamefowls too. Actually it about really my interest with Genetics just like in gamefowls. I met a friend in the sport of gamefowl then who happens to have the much famous show type breed at that time named shaq. He was a mini pincher dog with a red color. He was very beautiful nd just resembles like his father. I was so proud to have him tht I brought him along whenever I bring my son and wife during out of town assignments. It was a trip to the Bicol region particularly in naga that my then assignment ws to be held. I hve always enjoyed the shores of Gumaca Quezon as much s the zigzag part of the Quezon national Park as well as thelong  and radio road of Ragay. I hve a lot of stores to tell about the bicol region because I frequent the Place in  monthly basis. After some time I becamefriends with the Uncle of my son,s best friend in High school at claret. He was handling dogs on Dog shows and Paris Hilton was a wave. chihahua was the in breed that tie and I was happy to join the wagon. I purchased a couple of Dam, a fawn and a white, And one of the best apple head stud of my ow choosng through the marketplace of facebook was soure out successfully. I produced 25 puppies all and all and it was the first tme that I recieved an ROI within a couple of year. Altough breeding toy dogs was quite an adventure,we learned a lot and with a glad soul for it is a family affair. from tubing our firstborn pp to doing the vabeen vaccination myself with alll the puppies were quite a roll I have to fill in. My veternary skillset started to protection, Obeience and shubecause I have  bee doing this on my gamefowls. For quite sometime,  met a friend that imports  Belgian Malinois. The famous Tarot Line at that tie was quite a material and I have access to it My dogs name zoe from that breeding was my first working Dog, I build her a very Nice steel Cage using my hands. Its one of my skillsets of DIY projects.  learned to train Dogs for protetion, obedience and shzhund. I fell in love with the Dog because of her intelligence and drive. Thogh I received a lot of bite marks due to ball play, I never saw a dog with such speed and drive. She would catch or fetch the ball whether it went under  car. It's  the first time a cried when my Dog died due to platelet lost because I temporarily borrowed her steal cage, while I am up in the North performing wind banding for a Gamefowl Organzation for which I  the vice president, For two weeks out ther in Isabela Cagayan, this Dog waited for me like a zombie, Upon seing me, she trieher vy best to approach my call upon arrival. At once we went to the vet clinic to revive her. Three times we revive her from death but unfortuately, I lost her. My tears were uncontrollable and I have never felt such pain losing a dog. Until now,any years passed and I stll long to own one again. Its one of my wishlist for my success, Nowadays a cane corso is what I want, though I own  couple of Dam of the xl blue bape  American Bully and a nano merle americn Bully. I am still serchng for a ice stud to start my Breeding. And its always a joy keeping a dog as your company.

My Journey in Sabong

I was posting in one of the groups that I joined in my fastbook page when twice on its execution that I lost track and all of my written post was lost, without saving and so I decided to just write it into my blog which can be easier since a draft is able to be created as usul. So sharing this blog is y oppurtunity to share my current endeavor in Lif as a general. I will start again fro scratch so forgive my indulgence. As I was saying. I am trying to invite anyone to a new project that keeps bugging my mind eversnce.  Because the advent of A.I. was developing I have the oppurtunity to make this project independently with your help. But let me give you some background on where is I comming from. Is a test for my mental health to further developed patience and if you will also read from my previous post that Iam undergoing a physical theraphy currently that enables me to type articles and exercise my stiff fngers of my rght hand. So maybe that is the reason that I have to type in twice on what Iam writting now. To  begin with, Let me tell you about yself and how my journey as a ethusiast started. It started in 1996 when I started working in  telecommunicatiions in an NOC environment For people wo are not famliar to the acroninym, it is called Network Operations Center or the infrastructure where the Internet was developed. Its more on the System responsible for providing the subscriber or client to be connected to an ISP or what we called Internet Subsciber. Almost ll telecommunications nowaday have shifted their service from voice to data. It was where I started my inquiry about the sport for I was very fortunae to be blessed by  faster connection and better service. It was the that my son was the gretest motivation triggered by my Dad who wasgreat influence of mine. I lost him fro a heart attact so that year too so let me honor him through this blog During that time, we were visiting my cousins and grandother fro my other when I heard my son shouting excitedly. I run as fast as I can and found out he ws watching two roosters on a sparring session brought about by my cousin sonewhere in Calamba Laguna. When the fight was over my son who was just 2 years old embrace m and pleaded me to get him  rooster. I was ore of  pigeon guy onthat time and it was the european fanciers that I was mostly spending my research. But because of that rquest, I began searching for gamefowls. There was then a form for such enthusiast calle Pitmaster. It was an American website of mostly american people and just a few Filipino member enthusiast. If I remember correctly it was admiistered by a ex Nasa guy who was also a filipino by birth and ws the brother of the ex beauty queen from the Philippines. I posted  very controversial question the about the greatest bred of gmefowl here in the philippines. There ws some that say it was the leon 84 but majority answered the zamboanga white was the best. And so I inquired about the Geneology of the breed It triggered controversy about the matter specially between the aericans and the filipinoes. The americans claimed it was the Claret that originated the whites , some said it was the kelsos. but One Filipina claimed it ws an offshoot from two Lemon reds that produced the zamboanga white. It was then that the filipina invited me to hr farm soewhere in Muntinlupa Her name is Primcess Naldo also known through her online handle Golden Dragon. She ws the aunt of the famous actor Ronnie Rickets and was an architect of Boy Primallon who was gifted a stock of whites which she propagated. It was maintained by one of his son Henry which was quite controvertial therefore it was not well maintained, It was then that I was introduced to the late columnist and writer Mr. Rolando luzong, a well connected persolality and the previous host of Tukaan if you can recall. We beame good friends and together we build nd sare connection tht have established our skillsets. Since the Internet ws emerging media, its not difficult that our carr interest hve coon grounds. friendship flourished nd both introduced connections that contributed to our passion. I introduced JC Bernardo or known admistrator of sabong.net. He was a new friend I met being a corporate client of my ISP who happens to have an intereest in gaefowls too. He was the son of conchitit sevilla, the beauty queen and the Godson of the Araneta clan to begin with. I was telling you this so you cn connect that dots of how things developed. In return they introduced me to the late Emoy Gorgonyo, who died on Bukidnon who was the host of the famous Gamefowl tv variety sunday shows the. Lando was a good friend and a colleague in writing articles regarding gamfowls. So forgive me if at ties I will tell you stories bout some controversy about different personalities. The Gamefowl industry hve many ontroversies like showbiz too. It was round that time that we conceptualized sabungero.com. Initally, it was the cyberfriends was our group, but they were the elite class and previoustly, it was housed to our then comunity forum called sabong,ph . Originally the board members are copose of the four of us. Princess Naldo, Rolando Luzong, JC Bernardo and myself. Being naive as who really am I. I see friends as loyal beings and find no wrong bout somebody. It was hard to known some business people who you taught is your friend. I was kicked out from the board because I was not able to ttend a meeting which I dont Know about.  I was the only one on the board who was working fulltime and inpossible to attend a meeting on an odd time which was schedulled during their derbies. Princess was a businessman, Lando was a freelance and JC was the owner of the company named Chemphil in sucat. I was  very naive person then and I thought that the aue good friendship. It was late that I realized that because of his connection to aranetas that the ws a factor of business interest going on and it was that business that triggers the greed in the group. anyways I never spoke to JC since then while I let the maintain their friendship unconditionally on my part. Slowly princess and Lando was kicked out too. And so we were all leftout oneach our own, so we decided to put up our own gain named sabunero.com. Lando and I became good friends nd introduced me to his god friends in the industry.  Engr. Sonny Lagon, the Ampil Brothers, Mr. Lacson, Plaza Brothers, Lance De latorre, Mayor Juancho, and some others. It was when I was gifted the gray Blacks of Richard Bates and started creating websites from this celebrities aking capable to get stocks of trios fro the fanose Bruce Barnett seeters and the Yellow Legged Hatch of the Ampil Bothers. During those time Word Slasher in Araneta was the event to contest for, so I frequent the competion during their championships and was able to stablished a good rapor on those breeders.  It was those breeders thaat enables e to have  very good stock nd enable e to be the champions of 6 cock derbies and even a fastest kill, it was because of this that i was feature to cockfights magazine edition 8 which feture my current profile here on facebook. I did established a good friendship wth the Ampils and ecame a close friend to Gerard,  I was hving so much fun and the time of my life. Especially during celebration of their chmpionships which I usualy a mainstay during that period. It was arond that time that ubba was formed. which was quite the opposite of cyberfriends. I became friends with manny of t members who established their careers i the industry too. Oliver Osario became  marketing Guy of Patrick Antonio and his son and actively in the business. Not forgetting Patrick who ws one of their original DJ for their Online fights.  I wont forget my late uncle who originally own  hatchery in tatay rizal  who produced me my first chapion wrriors which mde me  champion in roligon. And kap rolly Mnalo in alfonso cavite who ws my far nager in my gamefowl farm. It was around the year 2000 that I ventured into a poultry supply where y clients taught I was a vet too and they frequently address me as a doctor. It was then that I learn much bout conditioning becuse I lerne to experiment  lot about medicines and its application. It was then that ejoyed a lot fighting with  authorities in tupadas nd fronting as a comoner and betting dehado using my ricchard Bates Bloodline, I learned how to attached my gaefowl knife because I agee to recieve payments from my knivemakers like agustmon. Now adays they are my collection. You see every facets of the game I tried to learn just to have perfection. I was originally introduced to the riginal Japanese, who introduced the Online technology. It was during that time when I used to be with the late Boy Marzo and Lando Luzong. It was how the onle saine bong reached Atong Ang when Lando and I became enemies or ceased to be good friends. We had a falling out that is why we had our own ways until his death a couple of years ago. I learned writing from him nd even ws a columist in the famous tabloid style larga. That is where I became friends with Mon avorque which is now missing in action after, our venture with GBI an Online Platform which unfortunately stopped because of mismangement. I was the overall Techncal Officer at the time because of my affiliation with engr. Baldo who ws a goodfriend of the ampil Brothers. He ws my good friend until now, but focusses onhis business lso in telecommunication today. It was there that I earned my 2nd six cock derby lso in roligon. Anyways its tie to tell you bthe reason behind this blog. I want to create a computer program that predicts the outcome using A.I, not only will t enable us to give intelligent avice base on probability and historical events. So who ever is interested will have a copy that I will be mking thru a shared google sheets that I will need to base my program. Initially I will start with this. Along the way, I intend to develop another program that will make our venture very fluorizing.Fyi the link to fill is indicated here. Please feel free to downlad it and contribute to our passion.https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-laa1bVovt97esSL0ZvEkK9I9bOopwlhMMAp_lNlhPk/edit?usp=sharing. Message me too so i can include you and be notified on progress and updates.

Decoding My Journey into Artificial Intelligence

The Spark: When "Magic" Becomes a Goal

It feels like just yesterday that Artificial Intelligence was something straight out of science fiction. It was the HAL 9000, the T-800, the stuff of movies. Then, almost overnight, it was everywhere. It was suggesting my next song, finishing my sentences in emails, and generating breathtaking art from a simple text prompt. My initial reaction was pure awe. My second reaction was an insatiable curiosity: How does it actually work?

That question was the spark. I decided I didn't want to just be a user of this "magic"; I wanted to understand the wizard behind the curtain. And so began my journey into the complex, challenging, and incredibly rewarding world of AI.

The First Steps: Taming the Mountain of Information

Starting out felt like standing at the base of Mount Everest. The field is vast: machine learning, deep learning, neural networks, natural language processing, computer vision... where does one even begin?

My first breakthrough was realizing I didn't need to learn everything at once. I decided to focus on the fundamentals of Machine Learning. Here was my initial roadmap:

  1. Python, the Lingua Franca: I knew I needed a solid programming foundation. I dedicated time to mastering Python, focusing on libraries that are the bread and butter of AI: NumPy for numerical operations, Pandas for data manipulation, and Matplotlib/Seaborn for visualization.

  2. The Mathematical Foundations: This was the part I dreaded. I hadn't touched calculus or linear algebra in years. However, resources like Khan Academy and the 3Blue1Brown YouTube series were lifesavers. They didn't just teach the "how," they taught the "why" behind concepts like gradients (f) and matrix multiplication, making them intuitive instead of terrifying.

  3. Structured Learning: I enrolled in Andrew Ng's famous "Machine Learning Specialization" on Coursera. This course was a game-changer. It provided the structure I craved, breaking down complex topics like regression, classification, and the core logic of neural networks into digestible pieces.

The "Aha!" Moments and the Debugging Nightmares

The journey wasn't a straight line. There were days filled with frustration, staring at a screen of error messages, wondering why my model's accuracy was stubbornly stuck at 50% (no better than a coin flip!). Imposter syndrome was a constant companion.

But then came the breakthroughs.

I'll never forget the first time I built a simple neural network from scratch to recognize handwritten digits from the MNIST dataset. When I fed it an image it had never seen before, and it correctly predicted the number, the feeling was electric. It wasn't magic anymore; it was math and code that I had written.

Another "aha!" moment was truly understanding gradient descent. The idea that you can calculate the error of your model's prediction (the "loss function," e.g., Mean Squared Error: ) and then take a tiny step in the direction that minimizes that error—that's the heart of how a machine learns.

My Toolkit Today

My toolkit has grown since those early days. Now, my projects are built on powerful frameworks like:

  • Scikit-Learn: For classic machine learning models.

  • TensorFlow & PyTorch: The two giants of deep learning. I started with TensorFlow but have grown to love the flexibility of PyTorch.

  • Google Colab: For access to free GPU resources, which is essential for training deep learning models without an expensive home setup.

My Advice for You, the Next AI Explorer

If you're standing where I was, at the base of the mountain, here's my advice:

  1. Start Small, Start Now: Don't try to understand GPT-4 on day one. Build a simple linear regression model. Predict house prices. Classify irises. Every small victory builds momentum.

  2. Consistency Over Intensity: 30 minutes of focused learning every day is better than an 8-hour cram session once a week.

  3. Get Your Hands Dirty: Theory is vital, but AI is an applied field. Find a dataset on Kaggle that interests you and just start exploring. Your best learning will come from your own projects.

  4. Embrace the Community: You are not alone. Join forums, follow AI practitioners on social media, and don't be afraid to ask questions.

My journey is far from over. In AI, the horizon is always expanding. But looking back, I can say with certainty that the climb, with all its challenges, is absolutely worth the view from the top. Go find your spark.

Ang Tahor

No other sports cuts accross the grain  of Philippine society than cockfightinng. From the farmer in the barrio to the tycoon in the  penthouse to the politicians in the halls of power, cocckfighting finds and obsessive enthusiast.

The attraction to the sport baffles the outsider. But listening to the tahors ( cockfighting enthusiast ) talks about the sports, the mystery easiily unfolds.

Cockfighting is a rich subject.Historically, it expands ages, nations andd races.  Scientifically, it hews closely to the intricacies of  genetics. Aesthetically, it involves  a  proud and  beautiful creature in the fighting cock. And  as a sport,  it provides an unmatched excitement  of a duel to the death.

Thus cockfighting has lured men and women in positions of power. And  in the Philippines in particularly, where it had enjoyed years and years of patronage with persons with  authority, cockfighting has evolved into a strong brotherhood counting as it's pillars the  elite of the society. These afficionados, possessing intelligence as well as technical and financial resources have uplifted cockfighting into the serious sports it has always been meant to be.
